Good quality shoes are important to children between 1-3 years old, a stage where they are learning to walk. During this period, the bones in a child’s feet are still soft and growth could be easy constrained by poor quality or ill-fitting shoes. Here are some tips on finding some nice footwear for your kiddos.
Toddler’s shoes should be soft and flexible which would enable them to move around comfortably. We recommend soft, natural leather which allows the feet to breathe.
Shoes that are too small could cause injury or deformation, while shoes that are too big could cause the little walkers to stumble and fall. It’s best to select shoes with a one-centimetre margin for the little feet to grow.
As the feet are not fully developed, it is important that the shoes provide good support around the ankle. It is also better for shoes to have Velcro straps or shoe laces that allow for adjustment to provide comfort and support.
