Quality School Shoes
Children’s feet do not fully develop until they are between 12 and 18 years old, and prior to maturity, their feet are composed of soft cartilage that is malleable. During this period, forcing growing feet into a pair of poorly designed, ill-fitting shoes can lead to foot injuries, which could percolate upwards to the hip and spine, adversely affecting posture and walking style.
Children spend more than 1,500 hours in their school shoes, travelling as much as 2,000km every year, walking, running, engaging in sports and all kinds of physical activities. It is therefore especially important to ensure that their feet are well-supported all the time.
Ascent’s range of school footwear is designed with a suite of sports shoe technology, so that every pair of Ascent shoes offers exceptional stability, durability and cushioning. It is little wonder then that they can easily double-up as cross trainers suitable for a variety of school activities.
We have also school shoes from Richter, another established Austrian manufacturer of children’s shoes. Backed by their long-standing expertise and experience, Richter shoes offer firm and safe foothold, thanks to heel stabilising counters, adaptable closings and strengthened toe caps.
Choose from our current range of black school shoes and once your child has selected his or her pair, then follow some simple guidelines for a maximally comfortable fit. Among other things, make sure there are sufficient width and toe room, adequate heel grip, and an overall snug fit that does not constrict your child’s feet.
